Primary Purpose: Elevates and supports patients' legs during MRI procedures

Patient Positions:

• Primarily used for supine (lying on back) positioning
• Can be used with the patient's knees bent or straight depending on the examination
• Supports semi-Fowler's position for patients with respiratory difficulties or back pain

Positioning Technique:

• Place the wedge under the patient's legs with the higher end positioned under the knees
• The gradual slope supports the natural curvature of the legs
• For knee examinations, position the wedge to achieve optimal knee flexion
• For lumbar spine imaging, position to reduce lordosis and open intervertebral spaces
• Can be used with additional positioning aids for comprehensive patient support
